Design notes

About this luminaire

Overview

The Polaris Court Floodlight is a modular outdoor luminaire designed for mid-scale sports surfaces — outdoor basketball courts, volleyball courts, and tennis courts — where controlled horizontal spread and structural simplicity matter as much as raw output. Each fixture is assembled from one to four identical 100 W heads mounted on a shared bracket, letting a single product family cover 100 W to 400 W without switching platforms.

Optical and Mechanical Construction

The housing is die-cast aluminium for thermal management, paired with a PC secondary lens. Two beam angles are available — 30° for cross-court throw and 60° for broader wash — chosen at order time. Colour consistency is held to less than 3 SDCM, and CRI exceeds Ra80. CCT options are 4000 K and 6000 K.

Electrical

An electromagnetically isolated driver accepts AC 86–265 V, covering a wide global supply range without adjustment. Default operation is single-channel constant-on; 0–10 V and DALI dimming are selectable options.

Mounting

The fixture supports both bracket mounting and surface/ceiling mounting, with hardware included.
