Golf & Driving Ranges

Long-throw floodlighting for driving ranges and practice areas, lighting the ball's flight over 200+ metres without lighting the sky.

A long, narrow target

A driving range is lit from the tee line outwards. Players need to see the ball rise and land, so the light must reach targets hundreds of metres away while staying low enough not to glare golfers on the tee or light the sky above the range.

Approach

  • Fixtures on poles behind or along the tee line, aimed outward with narrow beams for distance and wider beams for the near field.
  • Vertical illuminance down-range so the ball stays visible in flight.
  • Strict cut-off above the horizontal to limit sky glow — ranges are often near residential edges.
